Pridwin Rugby 7s 2020

For the 10th year in a row we are hosting the Pridwin 7s Rugby Festival, a much anticipated day in the boys’ school calendar. Ten schools compete creating much excitement over the 2 days.

Sport plays an integral part of Pridwin’s school day and in 2010 Pridwin introduced Rugby 7s as part our school sport portfolio for boys between the ages of 13 and 14 years. The Pridwin Rugby 7s Festival soon evolved and has become a flagship sporting event for Pridwin. This year we are honoured to have a prestigious line up with some of the top independent schools with their top performing rugby players participating

• St John’s College

• St Stithian’s College

• St Peter’s College

• The Ridge School

• Orchards Primary

• St David’s Marist Inanda

• King Edwards Preparatory School (KEPS)

• St Benedict’s Catholic School for Boys

• CBC Boksburg

• Pridwin Preparatory School

The Pridwin 7s festival is the only prestigious 7s rugby event for independent schools in Gauteng with the sole aim of growing talent and developing rugby across Gauteng. These teams are well demographically represented including players of all colour and race, under privileged, bursary and privileged students alike.

Renowned for its competitiveness, the Pridwin 7s brings people together while providing non stop entertainment for the rugby community.

The rugby performances are riveting from all the participating teams, with up and coming talented players having the opportunity to demonstrate their skills. In 2018, we had 9 teams and over 1000 people attending this rugby event as the support for this prestigious rugby festival continues to grow.
