Pridwin Welcomes Executive Headmaster Patrick Lees

Pridwin Preparatory School is delighted to welcome leader and Executive Headmaster, Patrick Lees. He has been teaching for 24 years (of which 15 have been in management positions) and joins us from St John’s Preparatory where he has been the Headmaster since 2010.

Patrick has also held key leadership positions with the National Councils of SAHISA (South African Heads of Independent schools) and ISASA (Independent Schools Association of South Africa), St John’s College Council and the Masibambane College Council. It is these wide leadership experiences that make Patrick the ideal candidate to take Pridwin forward.

Transformation and Diversity are key objectives for Pridwin. Patrick’s personality, lived experiences and his practical commitment to transformation and diversity make him an ideal candidate to execute on Pridwin’ s stated vision “We strive to develop global citizens with a growing awareness of the universal complexities of human existence rooted in our love for Africa and our shared identity as South Africans.

Lees is known for his energy, humour and dedication and shows a deep care for the children and adults under his leadership. He shows this care by building relationships, being a purposeful change-maker and through embedding a culture of kindness. Patrick is married to Sarah and has four children - Jessica, James, Charlotte and Jack. He is a passionate educator and has a wealth of teaching and management experience.
