Dear Parents

Pridwin is a school with a long standing tradition of educational service to its community. We firmly believe that our school exists for its young people, the boys. Whilst standing firm on traditional values such as independence, responsibility, respect, empathy and leadership, we also have a clear vision for the future.

The changing world in which we live provides many opportunities for the adults of tomorrow, provided they develop abilities which will enable them to take advantage of those opportunities. This is why our curriculum is skill-based and why we provide our boys with countless options to develop their confidence and potential.

Every boy is important to us and although it puts great demands on our time and resources, we believe in providing as many challenges as possible for individual growth. This is reflected in the wide academic, sporting and cultural programmes on offer, in the development of technolgical skills in our computer labs, and in our design and technology programme.

Many of our boys regularly win scholarships to the best schools in our country. In addition, many Pridwin old boys are graduates of the best universities in the world. This bears testimony to the high expectations at Pridwin.

Our emphasis on literacy, numeracy and life skills pays dividends from the Grade 0 year. However, "balance" is very important to us and our boys give a good account of themselves in a wide range of activities: on the sports field, in the orchestras and jazz band, in the choirs, and in dramatic productions and artisitic pursuits. In addition, our strength, both as academic staff and as parents, lies in our commitment and dedication to the task of preparing our boys for the future. We believe in going the extra mile to make the difference.
