Pridwin Blog
Pridwin has recently launched a tailor-made blog to facilitate communication and interaction between teachers and students.
The central idea of the blog is to focus on students participating in multiple classes or groups, with a simple, consistent and friendly user experience. While the blog can be used simply to connect a single class and teacher, the real power of the platform lies in its ability to manage multiple groups while hiding the complexity of these interactions from the students and teachers who use the system.
While there may be hundreds of classes on the go across multiple grades, each student sees only those groups to which he belongs and allows him to drill down into specific subjects and discussions. Similarly, a teacher need not see all the classes their students participate in, or that other teachers have on the go.
The platform allows for posting of assignments, worksheets, lesson plans, comments, online discussions, video links, multimedia content, submission of assignments and projects, and a whole lot more. But it is a very safe and controlled environment where there are no adverts and where access is tightly controlled. And it is environmentally friendly too - no need for endless copies and printouts.
After initial testing over the last few months, we will soon be opening the blog up to a broader audience, including parents, who will have access to observe - but not participate directly in - their son's experience on the blog.
We welcome any ideas and feedback - one really exciting aspect of the blog is that we can refine and develop it further to meet our needs as they grow, so this is an exciting foundation rather than a finished product.
